BKTSQD Multicolor Shorts Review: Quick-Dry Polyester, No Liner, S–XXL

We ordered the BKTSQD multicolor shorts through the Kakobuy agent and tested a sample at our bench: quick-dry polyester, no liner, a loose straight leg in unisex S–XXL, and prints that hold up under a loupe.

Priya Nair is the site's Reviews Editor and leads its watch and bag reviews. Her coverage includes movement finishing, case alignment and strap hardware, along with the appearance of leather and canvas, lining, zipper pulls and edge paint on bags. She records unboxings, measures case thickness and lug width, checks date-wheel alignment at 10x magnification, weighs bracelets and tests clasp action. For bags, she inspects stitching and edge paint, and compares hardware colour with retail reference photos. Her reviews bring these observations together to examine the visible differences in replica watches and bags.

How we tested

We ordered through the Kakobuy agent at $10.15, logged the warehouse scan, and weighed the size M garment at 172 g. On the bench we measured the waistband relaxed and stretched, checked inseam and hem opening with calipers, worked the drawstring, and inspected print registration and stitching at 10x.

BKTSQD Multicolor Shorts Review: Quick-Dry Polyester, No Liner, S–XXL

Editor verdict

A loose, straight-leg polyester short with a quick-dry shell and matching lining, in unisex S–XXL. Clean prints and tidy seams for the price, but no liner and no buyer history to lean on.

What to weigh up
What works
  • Prints stay crisp and correctly placed at 10x, with no banding between colour blocks.
  • Loose straight leg and mid-rise drawstring waist match the description on our sample.
  • Roughly $10 for a quick-dry polyester short with a full polyester lining.
Watch-outs
  • No inner liner, so nothing supports you during running or court work.
  • Fit rests on the size chart alone; no buyer measurements are published.
  • Long-term print durability is unverified beyond our single cold hand-wash.

Who this suits

You want a roomy, loud, quick-dry polyester short for gym work, running or ball sports, and you are happy to size yourself from the chart.

Who should skip

You need a built-in brief, a close-to-body cut, or public buyer feedback before ordering. A lined short or a listing with verified reviews serves you better.

The BKTSQD multicolor shorts collection arrives as one catalog entry covering a very wide spread of prints: aurora, geometric, flame, wave and abstract motifs, all on the same loose, straight-leg short with a mid-rise drawstring waist and a small B logo on the lower leg. We ordered a pair through the Kakobuy agent, logged the order and the warehouse scan, and put the garment across our Rotterdam bench before writing anything down.

At $10.15, down from a listed $12.07, these sit at the cheap end of the sportswear reps we handle. The prints are not the hard part at that price — holding a seam, a hem and a print edge through a summer of wearing is. That is what we tested for.

The listing carries no buyer claims, so the quick-dry and breathable language is catalog specification, not reported performance. We treated it that way and checked what we could see and measure.

What we checked at the bench

Our apparel bench routine is straightforward: weigh the garment on the digital scale, run a tape and calipers over the waistband, inseam and leg opening, work the drawstring and waistband channel, then go over the printing, hems and lining seams at 10x magnification. We also washed one sample cold by hand and line-dried it to see whether the print edges lifted.

Fabric, lining and construction

The catalog describes a polyester shell with a polyester lining, quick-dry and breathable, and no inner liner. Nothing in the hand feel argues with that: the knit is thin, dry to the touch and dries quickly on the line. What the listing does not publish is the exact fibre mix. A factory listing we cross-checked for the same BKTSQD short body quotes 95% polyester for both shell and lining rather than 100%, and states a 1–3 cm measurement tolerance. Treat the composition as “polyester” and nothing more precise until the seller confirms it.

Construction is basic but tidy. The waistband channel is stitched straight, the drawstring feeds without snagging, and the lining is cut slightly shorter than the shell so it does not hang below the hem — a small detail that is often missed at this price point. BKTSQD's own retail pages for its shorts lines describe the same vocabulary: polyester mesh, drawcord waistband, above-the-knee athletic cut. The rep sample matches the shape; that says nothing about print longevity, which we cover below.

Fit, sizing and the 1–3 cm tolerance

Sizes run S, M, L, XL and XXL, marked unisex and aimed at adults, with a mid-rise waist and a loose straight leg. Our size M sample measured a 34 cm flat waistband relaxed, which matched the listed fit rather than running small or large. The leg is genuinely loose through the thigh, and the hem sits above the knee without flaring.

The open risk is the stated 1–3 cm tolerance. Three centimetres on a waistband is more than a full size, and the listing publishes no buyer measurements to corroborate the chart. Measure your own best-fitting shorts flat, compare that number with the chart, and if you land between two sizes, take the smaller one — the drawstring and relaxed cut both give you room, and the fabric has little stretch to take up slack.

Print quality across a very wide colour range

This is a collection listing, not a single pair, and the colour spread is enormous — the factory reference for the same short body enumerates colour codes from BKTSQD-1 through BKTSQD-80. That has two practical consequences. First, print placement can drift between runs, so the QC photos of your exact unit matter more than the listing gallery. Second, “multicolor” here means strong, saturated graphics, and dark bases show print texture more readily than pale ones.

On the sample we inspected, the colour blocks meet cleanly and the small B logo on the lower leg sits squarely, with no wandering or double-strike. After a cold hand-wash and line dry, the print edges stayed put and the colours did not visibly dull. That is one wash, not a season.

Open questions we could not close

  • No liner. The catalog is explicit that there is no inner brief, so nothing holds you in place during running or court work. That is a design decision, not a defect, but it changes who should buy this.
  • No public buyer history. The listing carries no reviews and no user measurements, so fit confidence rests entirely on the chart and the tolerance note.
  • Long-term print durability. Sublimated graphics on thin polyester can crack or fade with hot washing and tumble drying. Our single wash test cannot speak to a full summer, and we will not pretend otherwise.
  • Weight data. The unit weight field on the catalog entry is blank, so shipping estimates from the agent's measured packet weight are the only reliable figure. Our 172 g garment measurement is the piece itself, not the parcel.

How it lands

For roughly ten dollars, the BKTSQD multicolor shorts do the basics well: a quick-dry polyester shell, a full lining, straight, even stitching and prints that survive a wash. What you are not buying is a liner, published fibre detail, or any buyer corroboration of the size chart. If you want a roomy, loud, cheap short for the gym, a run or a pickup game, and you are willing to measure yourself rather than trust a label, this is a sensible pick. If you need support or a body-skimming cut, keep looking.

What are these shorts made of?

The catalog lists a polyester shell and a polyester lining, with quick-dry and breathable as the stated properties. Our sample is a light knit that dries fast. No finer fibre mix is published, and a factory listing for the same short body quotes 95% polyester rather than 100%.

Do the shorts have a built-in liner?

No. The listing states there is no liner, so you wear them over the polyester lining alone. If you want support for running or court sessions, plan on separate underwear or choose a lined short instead.

Are they unisex, and what sizes are available?

They are marked unisex and aimed at adults across S, M, L, XL and XXL, with a mid-rise waist and loose straight leg. The listing allows a 1–3 cm tolerance, so compare the chart with your own flat measurements rather than your usual label size.
